Race cars, GT competition vehicles, FIA-homologated machinery, and significant motorsports equipment collections accepted as collateral. Provenance-driven underwriting. Initial review typically within one business day.
The historic and contemporary motorsports market has evolved into a genuine alternative asset class. Significant competition vehicles, particularly those with documented racing history, FIA homologation papers, and verifiable provenance, now transact at values that rival investment-grade fine art and blue-chip collectible automobiles. Auction results at RM Sotheby's, Bonhams, and Gooding & Company consistently demonstrate this: a thoroughly documented Le Mans campaigner or a factory-works Formula car with championship credentials can fetch millions from motivated, sophisticated buyers worldwide.
The Liquidity Network was built to recognize this reality. When you own a significant motorsports asset, whether a vintage Grand Prix car, a modern GT3 competitor, a prized IMSA entry, or a documented collection of period-correct competition equipment, you hold genuine, tangible value. Our role is to unlock that value on your terms, without requiring you to sell.
Our private capital review process evaluates motorsports assets individually, with the specialized knowledge the category demands. We do not apply a one-size-fits-all formula. Instead, we examine provenance, competition history, FIA and sanctioning body documentation, originality, condition, and current market comparables, and we structure terms around what we find.
Not every race car carries the same capital potential. The factors that drive value, and therefore determine the terms we can offer, are specific to this asset class:
None of the following is required to submit. TLN conducts its own research, valuation, and verification on every asset. When these items happen to be available, they strengthen the valuation basis and can support a faster review and stronger preliminary terms:
TLN reviews motorsports assets across the full competitive spectrum, from pre-war Grand Prix machinery to contemporary GT competition vehicles. Not exhaustive, all assets reviewed on individual merits.
Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, and Formula-class cars from recognized competitive eras, particularly those with championship credits, famous driver associations, or constructor pedigree from storied teams.
Factory-backed GT competition vehicles and current-generation GT3 and GT4 machinery from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, and others, reviewed on condition, hours, documentation, and current market comparables.
Le Mans prototypes, GT40s, Ferrari GTOs, Porsche 917s, and subsequent generations of factory-backed sports racing cars from recognized global series.
Pre-war and early post-war competition machinery with documented ownership chains, period photographs, and original specification retained.
Homologated stage rally cars, cross-country and off-road competition machinery, and documented rally-raid vehicles, reviewed on provenance, competition history, originality, and current market comparables.
Factory works bikes, significant production-based competition motorcycles, and sidecar outfits with verifiable FIM or national federation competition history.
Our process begins with a confidential submission. You tell us what you own and what you need. We respond within hours with an initial assessment of whether the asset fits within our accepted collateral categories. If it does, we proceed to a formal private review:
We engage recognized motorsports specialists and independent appraisers with deep expertise in the specific vehicle or asset category. TLN conducts its own research, valuation, and verification on every asset, and we review any documentation you are able to provide, FIA papers, series registrations, ownership history, restoration records, race results, photographs, and correspondence. A clear title or registration in hand is not required to submit and does not automatically disqualify the asset, and an existing lien does not automatically disqualify it. Where a lien exists, the outstanding balance is factored into the capital structure, subject to underwriting and to the requested capital and the vehicle's verified value supporting it. We analyze current comparable sales data from recognized auction channels and private dealer transactions.
Based on this review, we present a non-binding capital offer. Initial reviews are typically completed within one business day, depending on the asset, available documentation, ownership verification, valuation complexity, and transaction details. Timing, eligibility, and terms are not guaranteed. The capital offer outlines the preliminary loan amount, duration, and applicable fees. It is the starting point for a conversation, not a take-it-or-leave-it offer. We work with asset owners to structure terms that fit their specific liquidity needs, whether they need capital for 90 days or two years, against a single vehicle or an entire collection.
Upon acceptance of final terms, we coordinate secure, insured transport and custody of the asset for the loan period. Your vehicle is handled with the care appropriate to its significance. At loan maturity, repayment of principal and fees returns the asset to your unencumbered possession.
We don't apply consumer lending formulas to race cars. Our review process involves genuine motorsports specialists who understand FIA HTPs, sanctioning body documentation, and the nuances of the historic and contemporary racing markets. Race history, FIA homologation, originality, and eligibility for marquee events are weighed the way informed buyers weigh them, not against generic depreciation schedules.
Your competition vehicle is transported and stored with the care it deserves. Fully insured, climate-controlled facilities, monitored storage, and documented condition reporting at intake and return. At loan maturity, the asset is released back to your unencumbered possession exactly as delivered.
